The HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 Plus server automates and simplifies management tasks, creating a solid foundation for and an open, hybrid cloud platform.
The ProLiant DL380 Gen10 features enhanced GPU density, with support expanded from five to seven GPUs. You are able to benefit from one of the densest Accelerator/GPU platforms and enjoy diverse workload performance and AI/deep learning optimisation.
In addition to featuring an adaptable chassis, the DL380 Gen10 also provides you with flexible networking choices. The redesigned HPE Smart Array Controllers enable you to select the 12 Gb/s that best fits your requirements, and to operate in both SAS and HBA mode.
HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 Plus dual-socket servers are powered by 3rd Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processors featuring up to 40 cores, in comparison to the DL380 Gen10 which is powered by the older 2nd Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processor range. The 3rd Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processor range possesses many advantages over its predecessor including more cores, cache and enhanced performance.
Architectural improvements together with new allocation and execution resources ensure a 20% increase in instructions per cycle per core. When that is combined with the increased core count and additional cache, there are huge improvements over the previous generation in terms of real-world performance.
3rd Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processors support up to 6TB of system memory per socket and up to 8 channels of DDR4-3200 RAM, which is a significant improvement on its predecessor's maximum 6 channels and DDR4-2933.
PCIe Gen4 connectivity with 64 lanes is now supported, providing you with increased bandwidth over the previous generations PCIe 3 and features an extra 24 lanes for you to utilise.
Whilst the previous architecture supported up to four Ultra Path Interconnect channels to transport data between many CPUs, the new architecture boosts that number to six, enhancing bandwidth between CPUs and improving platform scalability for I/O intensive workloads.
The HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 can be powered by up to 2x 2nd Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processors featuring up to 28 cores.
2nd Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processors feature increased per-core performance over the previous generation and provide high-performance and scalability for compute-intensive workloads. Intel Optane Persistent Memory is supported and there is a 50% increase in memory bandwidth and capacity.

Both the DL380 Gen10 Plus and the DL380 Gen10 can be configured with the NVIDIA A100 which provides unprecedented acceleration at every scale. NVIDIA A100 delivers up to 20x increased performance in comparison to the previous generation.
They can also be configured with the NVIDIA T4 which accelerates diverse cloud workloads, including machine learning, HPC, data analytics and graphics.
The DL380 Gen10 Plus can be configured with the NVIDIA A40, which has been designed and built to deal with the most demanding visual computing workloads and features the newest gen RT cores, CUDA cores, tensor cores and 48GB of memory.
